Comments from Dr. Kinser
"Although this book is somewhat out-of-date, and a
few scripts are not cross-browser compatiable, I still think it is one
of the best for understanding how JavaScript works, and getting some
good examples. The CD gives you all the scripts, which saves you
from making those typos -- critical in writing any script. I
hope Nick comes out with another, revised edition soon. But for
now, I still recommend this as being a very good
resource."

Comments from Dr. Kinser
"The most complete
reference I've found for FrontPage 2000. If you use FP2000, this is a MUST
HAVE book. Good for beginners and advanced users, especially since we can't remember everything.
Also has good info on using Active Server Pages and Visual
Basic with Front Page 2000. This truly is a 'complete
reference.'"

Comments from Dr. Kinser
"This book really should come with FrontPage 2000,
but it doesn't (unless you get a special package). Each page has
screen shots and clear explanations of how each menu, option, and
alternative works. A good, quick reference for both the new and
experienced user of FrontPage 2000. Although I thought FrontPage
98 was a piece of junk, I am starting to really like FP 2000,
especially when working with large sites. This book has helped me get
up-to-speed quickly, and I still go back to it as a reference. I
actually found my copy on the discount rack at the Electronics Botique,
in the mall, for $14.99. Have looked again for a student and
they are all gone. Amazon.com usually has the best price, but I
still look for discounts anywhere I can."

Comments from Dr. Kinser
"This book assumes you have a good foundation in
HTML and is not for beginners. However, this is an
essential reference and resource for web developers using DHTML.
I only wish O'Reilly had included a CD-ROM for those of us who don't
like to type out all of that code. Danny has included here more
than you will ever need to create well functional, cross-platform
applications. Another 'MUST HAVE' book for web developers!"

Comments from Dr. Kinser
"Now here is a CD-ROM that makes us lazy code
typists very happy. The book and CD contains more than 100
sample scripts, with beginning and advanced tutorials on how to use
JavaScript 1.2. Danny is one of the top experts in JavaScript
and I like his work. I just wish these books didn't cost sooooo
much. Why doesn't someone cut out all the intro stuff for
beginners and give web developers what we need? I guess there is
no money in doing that. Oh well, this is still another one of
those 'MUST HAVE' books, if you plan to use
JavaScript."
